At Dogwood Hills Academy we offer each child a safe, stimulating environment in which to grow and develop skills that will make their future bloom. Our state-of-the-art facility, talented staff and curriculum tools, allow Dogwood Hills Academy to provide each child the necessary foundation to be successful and meet the challenges of the future.

Dogwood Hills Academy uses the country’s leading scientifically based, research-validated, comprehensive curriculum, Creative Curriculum. Using the NAEYC recognized Creative Curriculum’s observation and assessment tools, the staff at Dogwood Hills Academy plans activities and experiences each day that will promote each child’s growth in the areas of social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical skills.

Dogwood Hills Academy uses a balanced approach for the education of young children. Each day includes both child-initiated and teacher directed activities. Daily reports are provided to keep our parents informed of classroom activities, along with periodic assessment meetings with our trained staff to discuss individual progress. This on-going assessment process begins when the child enters the program, and continues through their preschool years. At Dogwood Hills Academy, we believe this continuity of goals and objectives establishes the best framework for early childhood development and school readiness.

At Dogwood Hills Academy the learning environment in each classroom is designed to encourage children to participate in a variety of age appropriate developmental activities and experiences. Special centers for dramatic play, creative art, science, reading, blocks and puzzles provide each child the opportunity to explore independently and confidently. Our state-of-the-art facility provides our dedicated, loving teaching professionals the necessary environment to care and nurture each child from infant to school age.

Our four-acre campus allows our children the opportunity to explore the outside world, though nature walks, gardening and exploration. Physical abilities and social skills are developed on Dogwood Hills Academy’s age-appropriate playgrounds, water park and nature area. Hands on activities with nature, such as gardening and trail walking, give each child an appreciation for the environment in which they live and stimulates creativity in all areas of development.

Security, safety and cleanliness are very important to the staff and management of Dogwood Hills Academy. We want each family to feel confident that their child is in the most secure environment possible. Our controlled access system limits entrance into the building and surrounding play areas. All visitors are identified and escorted while in the building. No individuals are allowed on the campus without management’s knowledge. An on-site housekeeping staff maintains our immaculate facility, with cleanliness a high priority for our entire staff.

Open from 6:30am until 6:30pm, our year-round program offers both full and part-time programs for children six weeks to five years old and before/after-school care for school-age children.
